Why Is there a Refund?
Rates used for certain student 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 plan years were incorrect and an overpayment of insurance premium was applied to some student’s UnitedHealthcare Student Resources insurance account. UnitedHealthcare has since worked with the State of New York to address the issue around these student plan rates and have implemented changes to ensure the prevention of similar issues in the future. You may be eligible to receive a refund if you were an impacted student.
Who Is an Impacted Student?
Impacted students include those who had an overpayment of insurance premium applied to their UnitedHealthcare Student Resources Insurance accounts due to the rates used for certain 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 plan years being incorrect.
